Easter Break - Stonehenge-Cornwall-Somerset

Olla..ye..ye..sye tau..saye tau..konon bersemangat nk blogging over the weekend..tak kesampaian..yelah tgh ade mood broadband pulak mengada2...ish geram betul..
dh lama sakit hati dgn BT ni..tak sabar nk habis contract and change to O2..hehe..
ok back to our hols story..
This happened during March..
My parents came for the second time (Alhamdulillah..syukur diorang dberi rezeki, dipanjangkan umur lagi utk visit kitorang kt sini...)
Actually my parents dh lama nk datang..but the dotter tak kasi..yelah sure tak best if diorang dtg time me tgh bz giler kan..nk jalan pun tak best..so i decided that they came during Easter Holiday..after my cuti approved etc..we planned for the tour...

Our first destination was Cornwall..
but along the way we stopped by at several places to visit, solat and lunch..
We've planned this holiday way back in January..we used The Sun Holiday token..
Ok i'll explained a lil bit bout the token..basically u hv to collect 10 tokens (20p je satu paper) and fill up the form..choose 5 parks from over 100 listed and give 5 choosen dates...

if u're lucky u'll get the 1st choice..if not depends..the trick is not to go over the weekend or school holiday..
we went there for 5 days...
Kali ni we went with our travel geng Mrs Ainor and family..mmg dh plan since last year lg nk ke Cornwall this Easter..Alhamdulillah..we got our 1st choice...


Day 1

From London to Stonehenge..

Emm for those yg pernah pegi sure tau tempat batu batan nih..
it's a historical place..one of seven wonders of the world..
But the
truth...bukan ade ape pun..hanya ade batu batan tuh!!!hehe....

sempat la amik2 gambar sket...

pastu nk balik..biasalah cucu kesayangan Atuk ni buat perangai..adoi..malas betul mummy nk layan..biarla atuk and opah die je yg layan..

emm this time malas nk pegi souvenir shop die..tah ape pasal tah..
weather tak best kot..
and mase balik nyesal wokeh!! ;(

Stonehenge - Exeter

From Stonehenge we went to Exeter..smayang kt Exeter Mosque and had luncheon at Subway..tak snap picchas pulak...

Exeter- Cornwall

Mase ni dh nk sampai Cornwall..
mmg jauh betul dr London..almost 6 hours driving..kalau tak stop mane2 mmg kematu bontot..huh!!


Kt Cornwall we stayed at the caravan..
our 1st experience..semua org excited..
But mase nk check in ade pulak terjadi incident...

ok nk jadi cerita..this hols was booked under Cik Ainor's name..
so die ingat the extra charges boleh bayar on site..BUT we were wrong..
oleh sebab itu our caravan had been cancelled!!
WTF la kan?? dh drive 6 hours tetiba senang2 je kata cancel..
so dgn muka tak puas hati we argued..
and they offered a luxury caravan (kire upgraded punye) but we had to pay extra 20 pound per night...ape nk buat..agreed je laa..
actually in the package supposed to get the standard caravan je..

ni la rupe Caravan tu..mmg kontena je...
tgk dr luar..betul ke ni??hehe...
location mmg startegik..tepi beach..
that's why la tersangat windy okay!sejukkk...bbbrrrr....

kitorang dh prepare our ration for 5 days dh..hehe..tu la kete penuh..food aje dh half..
siap daging, ayam, sardines, beras, Brahim's food and ape2 lah..mcm nk pindah rumah je...
but nasib jugak la bawak sume ni..
kt sana mmg susah nk cari restaurant!!mmg kene masak and bwk bekal..
so sesape nk pegi better be prepared..
setakat McD ade lah..but larat ke nk makan hari2..Fish je pun yg boleh makan kan..yikes!!!

Surprisingly..kontena yg nampak seposen je dr luar tu amat la Marvelous sekali!!
kami sungguh impressed tak terkata..semua complete..
and maybe that was the luxury one..besar gak laa..
ade 3 bedrooms, 1 toilet and 1 bathroom...
kitchen mmg complete with stove, oven, microwave, crockeries and cutleries..
periuk and kuali pun ade..
caserole la, tempat grill..mmg 1st class laa..
but i heard yg standard takde microwave but basic thing lain ade laa..
heater and hot water pakai gas..ok laa..so..so..
but not too hot!!and this was early easter..still sejuk mcm winter!!!

ni our bedroom ade double bed and wardrobe..lengkap laa..
yg the other 2 rooms ade 2 single beds..memandangkan kami la paling ramai so kuasa veto kate kami dapat katil double..heheh..

Day 2
Land's End
Ni adalah tempat wajib if pegi Cornwall..
The last point in the UK map...
Sejuknye Ya Ampun...punye la tak expect..
and bile pikir balik..mmg la sejuk coz it's facing an open sea..
ayoyo..nyesal tak bwk winter jacket..

mase ni angin kuat sgt..sampai kitorang tak leh jalan..
and kt tepi cliff tu mcm bahaya sket..so my mom pun dh gayat..and she decided to stay with the kids at the shop area..
(ala sebenarnye die nk shopping tuh..hehe...)
mane tak tumpahnye kuah kalau tak ke nasik..ye tak??

Minack Theatre

After that we went to this theatre..
tempat ni sgt sgt 1000x lawa okeh!!!
we were impressed!!!

Theatre ni mmg tepi laut..
masuk kene bayar..but mase tu theatre season tak start lg..
boleh tgk theatre open air..so mase tour tu ade la video citer pasal org yg buat Minack ni..
just imagine 3 org je yg buat from the start!
tp result and landscape..SUPERB!!!
teringin nk pegi lagi and watch the theatre..siap dh pesan bwk blanket...hehe...
tp tempat ni kalau pegi dgn budak mmg kene pegang kuat2..
ishh gayat sungguh...kitorang turun la jugak but dgn hati yg sgt gayat..hehe...
balik rumah and lepak2..
masak2 and makan2...

Day 3
St Michael Mountain

This is a sea-bound castle..
nk pegi pun kene tunggu low tide baru boleh cross
But time my parents dh surrender..dgr je laut..tanak pegi..hehe..kesian gak my mom..
(btw pg tu we just received a bad news about my uncle..he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia...)

btw all of my moms siblings kate terus kan je la holiday die and not to worry so much..
but you know...we were all very worried and sad but what to do..ni la dugaan duk jauh...berdoa banyak2 je laaa...

castle ni mmg cantik..
but org yg amik gambar nye tak berapa pandai kan..hehe...and malas nk edit the pics..so layan je laaaa...

mase nk cross ni punye la windy...serious susah nk jalan...
Adam jalan pun sebab kene tolak angin..Adib jgn citer laa..menggigil2 die...hehe...

But afterall..it's worth the efforts..and luckily gak my parents tak ikut...sgt susah nk jalan..
we almost give up..but with the lil courage left, we managed to reach there!!!!

mase dah sampai atas..budak bertiga ni duk kt wind shelter...
but still windy!! Mummy dh lost in the shop..hheehhee...

after the castle visit, we had the Cornish Ice cream..
pun tak amik gambar sbb excited sgt nk merasa cornish ice cream yg diberitakan sedap...
hehe...
mmg sodap pun..it's a must..
but mase we all pegi tak byk kedai bukak..even kt land's end pun kedai scones and ice cream die byk tutup..but ade la makan ice cream jugak..

Lappa Valley Steam Railway

After the castle, we went back to the caravan..
had lunch and went to Lappa Valley..
ni nk rase naik steam train..choo choo...
my parents esp my dad pun bukak la citer diorang dulu dh puas naik steam train..hehe...
kitorang je yg over excited...

best gak tempat ni..dr first stop we were brought to a park..ade train kecik yg lain jugak..malas dh nk upload gambar..
kids were really enjoyed themselves...

and the mummies..had scones and cornish clotted cream tea..
one of the speacility in Cornwall!!!
yummy!!!

set ni mmg a must yea...

Then we headed to Penzance for ships and boat sightseeing...cantik!!!

Malam tu konon nk buat BBQ..
pegi kt Lidl near our place tu jumpe pulak mr crabby..
owh dh lama tak makan okay!!
ayam dh siap marinade..
but disebabkan cuaca terlalu gloomy and windy..the men refused to menyalakan api..
kitorang dh bwk BBQ set bagai...
ended up BBQ dlm oven je laaa....

BBQ Dinner...
Grilled Crab, Roasted chicken yg tak siap lg mase nih..egg salad, left over spaghetti and potato wedges....mmg best!!!
sesuwai la duduk tepi laut kan...
Kt London ni susah nk dapat crab and mahal!!!

Day 4
okeh disebabkan cuaca tak berapa mengizinkan..my mom dh bisik malam semalam nye suh balik harini..diorang dh tak tahan sejuk..
kesian gak laa..eventho ade heater but tak cukup..
kalau we all ni ok laa..dh biasa kan..
so we decided to go back to London..
BUt Ainor and family stayed..
Sorry babe..terpaksa laaa..dh 4 hari pun..hehe...

Pg tu we had Nasi lemak..
sambal gune sambal Brahim's je and tumis sket tambah bawang...

And Adib yg tak kesampaian nk swimming and play sand kt beach..so diorang main kt dalam caravan je..walaupun beach tu nampak dr tingkap we all...
what to do...
next time la yea...

Clarks Village

After dh siap semua..the next agenda to go to the Clarks Village in Somerset..
it took about 2 hours to reach there..
tp mmg berbaloi..
Shopping kan??
sape tak suke...
my parents tu sakan laa..sbb kitorang tak bwk diorang pegi shopping lagi..dh gatal tgn hehhee...
bile sampai je..tak tunggu we all dah..
diorang terus meluru and hilang dalam kedai2 yg byk tuh!!!hehhee....

I'll blog bout the loots later on laa..
BUt mmg sgt suke pegi sini..siap I bought my purple trench coat from Benetton..70% off okay..

yela dh end of season..but nasib la this year easter pun sejuk..so still dapat melaram with that coat..
i pakai pegi Paris..

ok next hol..we went o Paris..

Easter Vacay: East Sussex

Hi peeps....this is my update for our second part of Easter Vacay..
We went to Kingston-Brighton-Eastbourne-Hastings-Folkerstone-Dover and back to London..
(in the itinerary, Ashford Designer Outlet was included, but we had no time..sob..sob..afterall this trip mainly for sightseeing okay!!we'll go there some other time..it's not that far from London anyway..)

Mainly coastal and countryside sightseeing..Well agak2 mcm jalan2 kampung UK la..
But it's worth!!Eventhough we only spent one and half day, we covered most of the main places in East Sussex which located in South UK...
Thanks a million to our tour agent..Mr n Mrs Hilmi..
With packed and detailed itinerary including time and postcodes..It was soo easy that we only had to key in the postcode into TomTom..and there we go..off to next destination!!
(sometimes we couldn't rely solely on tom2..but with my sense of direction, Alhamdulillah..sampai jugak!!hehe..jgn marah ye En.Driver!)
ooppss..tak lupa jugak Thanks to Mr and Mrs Wan for ur lovely TomTom..
(psss..we wanted to buy it..but selagi boleh pinjam and jimat GBP120..why not kan?kan??bukan jalan slalu pon..hehe..)

So there u go...
Day 1

1St Destination: Brighton

Brighton is famous with the pier and pavillion..plus also famous as Gay town!! haha..but I only discovered bout it later..patutla terjumpa couple2 yg suspicious!!And my MIL told us that last time it was like kampung Melayu..seriously, I haven't met any Malay except for our friends..

Anyhow...it was a lovely pebbles beach..and the weather was lovely too!! It was full with people..really crowded..ppl started enjoying the Spring Sunshine I guess!!
we only spent a couple of hours there as we left a bit late from Kingston..And my friend didn't manage to get a nearer parking..so tak berjumpa la di situ...

2nd Destination: Beachy Head, Eastbourne

Then we headed to Beachy Head, Eastbourne to see the cliff..It was so beautiful but I'm the gayat type..so for sure it's not me taking the pics at the cliff edge...

Actually I always wanted to take this kind of pic with my family esp during the snow..but we missed it..so this time with the advantage of having our friends around, I asked hub and kids to lie down..it turned out well..guling2 mcm hindustan...best!!

This was on top of the hill..It was quite far to get on top of the hill.but we were excitedly hiked up and enjoyed the nice, cool breeze up there..tak la penat sgt..

this were the boys..the Ad three stooges..coz all names start with AD..

Then we headed to our hotel, Eastbourne Marina Travelodge..
it's located opposite the beach!!!
Lucky us!!
so we spent the nite strolling along the beach and took some pics at Eastbourne Pier..
every beach has their own pier..it's about the same at every place..but u know..just enjoyed it!!


After dh penat and lapar, we went to get our dinner, fish and chips and lepak in the room and doozed of...

Day 2

From Eastbourne

The next morning, planned to meet up with ainor around 9 am..so I woke up at 6.30 and prepared everything..from breakfast to kids and packing...(excitedla katakan..hehe..)

then we checked out a lil bit early so that we could stroll along the beach again...plus i wanted to get some pics of the Carpet Garden.
but the flowers there are not fully bloomed yet..coz in the website I saw a nicer pics..
nvmd..


This kinda enjoying ourselves as if we're in Holland..
do u guys remember that I wanted to go to Kaukenhof..but we're broke coz we spent GBP1000 plus for our tickets...takpela..really looking forward to go there..InsyaAllah by next year I'll plan early..

and my kids..Adam with his forced smile..so funny eh!!


1st Destination:

Next we're off to see this archeological site, Longman of Wilmington
I'm not sure what it is actually..but it's a man's figure on the hill..

When we reached there..OMG!! what's this place..I didn't expect anymore hiking..
(tula tak buat homework..my friend has forwarded me the itinerary,but i dun even bother to look up..plus we had a busy day travelling to Manchester..)
so I didn't prepare the right shoes..:(


Alhamdulillah, we reached up there safely..with all the horsie and sheepy poops every single steps!!Adib keep looking for the poop..u know being a small kid and was being told the poops are everywhere..so he didn't bother about other things except the poops!!so whenever he saw it..he told me: Mummy, be careful..there's a poops..I really made use of that..haha..
selamat sampai atas...


Poor my Toddy..sob..sob..habis kene lanyak...next time whenever i go sightseeing, tobat dah tanak pakai kasut mahal..lunyai habis..it's TOD'S okay!!!hopefully i can afford to buy new toddy b4 i go back to Msia..seriously kt m'sia mahal nk mampos...ade hati nk beli..but better buy handbag..kt sini okay la...esp mase sale!!*wink..



2nd Destination: Herstmonceux castle
it's a 15th century castle..to read further just click on the link..
(me malas nk tulih byk2..nk update blog pun bercinta..:P)
but when we reached there, adib was asleep and Adam was a bit cranky..maybe bcoz he's hungry..and hubby was not so keen to get around the castle..
so they stayed in the car and i went out to get the pics with ainor..then we left..they went in the garden...



3rd Destination: Hastings
beach again with pier..but this time dh a bit hot..so we took off our coats!!yeay!!!


enjoying the sunshines and the pebbles beach..


after we had lunch, we're off to Dover..there's Hastings Castle on top of the hill at the end of the the road opposite the beach..but there were too many people and we had several other destinations..but Hastings Pier was the most happenings among the 3..


4th Destination: Rye Harbour
it was not in the itinerary..but on the way to dover, there's a lot of tourist attraction..just follow the brown signboards...


5th Destination:
before Dover, we went to Folkerstone to pray..there's a mosque..
being in UK is very convenient..u can find mosques esp in Muslim area..so it's not an excuse not to perform a prayer..(i'm not trying to be ustazah here, but it's kinda reminder to myself too!!!)

6th Destination: Dover
actually it's near the English Tunnel..
u can get on a ferry to Calais, France from here..



we stopped at Samphire Hoe

Samphire Hoe was made of 4.9 million cubic metres of chalk marl dug to create the Channel Tunnel.

sejak dh ade kids ni jarang2 posing romatic..hehe..but this time i took all the opportunity to snapped whateva pics with hub including this..

Well after a few shots at Samphire Hoe, the camera's battery went dead..so no more pics..
from there we went to Dover Castle and Lighthouse
(dimana tom2 telah bwk masuk jln yg salah and suh terjun gaung!!thanks a lot ye tom2..nasib la terang boleh nampak lagi..kalu tak tak tau la..Nauzubillah!!)

about 7pm we left Dover and back to London..on the way back I asked hubby to lalu depan Ashford Designer outlet so next time we know the place..but he refused!!!owh..sob..sob...takleh nk argue la..he's the driver!
balik rumah..so penat..spent 2 days cleaned up the house and the rest of break with my books and project..

so that's all for our short vacation around UK..
after the easter break, I'm gonna be busy..needs to concentrate on my study.
we're scheduled for a mini test every week, Mock Final exam was scheduled on May 7 and my final exam will be on 1st June..
I think no more blogging, no more active facebooking except when ade request or watsoeva and no more spending much time on cyber world..I need to take a break for a while..maybe if ade something that really interesting i'll share with u guys..(esp on secret sale this thursday..not sure lagi..but most prolly I'll go coz my friend nk something..)
Wish me luck kay..
I do pray that I'll pass my first year..believe me studying Dentistry is not easy especially when u're doing the specialist training....being a non native english speaker and dealing with spoilt kids and english parents,it's hell!!!
but being me, I love to balance my life between study, family and social life..so hopefully i can get through all this successfully and Allah will grant me what i'm looking for..InsyaAllah..
