Taste of Malaysia

Owh this happened on Friday...
Well mlm ni duk me'lagha' je..malas tul nk study..ok la since dh malas and i was bloghopping, why not blogging bout this..
this week is a school term break..but i didn't apply for leave..terlupe pulak..sian my kids..duk terkurung kt rumah..harap my hubby nk bwk diorang punye la liat...tahan diorang duk umah 4 days tak kuar2..lagipun weather tak menentu kan..sejukkk...

and kt my skool pulak, kitorang dh lama nk outing together to taste different foods..since we're international students and London have all sorts of restaurant..so we thought of rotating to different kind of food..this time lepas tunggu suggestion tak decide2 gak..so i've made my decision...i suggested Malaysian restaurant..tp pening gak pikir yg mana nk pegi..kt London ni Msian restaurant berlambak2..bersepah2..tak tau yg mane suit to impress them..
after some considerations, i decided to go to Delima restaurant..

firstly sbb die spacious..and dh pegi several times..foods die marvellous!!! rase cukup, big portion etc..so imade the reservation for 20 pax..the next day pulak ade one of my classmate bgtau ade promotion Malaysian Kitchen 2 for 1..menarik tu..Delima included..so i rang them to confirm..bla.bla..done..boleh gune voucher tuh!! yeaaa....

So on friday since I have free time, we decided to bring my kids for outing..mula2 plan nk bwk Adib and Adam to my clinic nk buat something simple as an intro to dental treatment/environment, but unfortunately Adib demam and batuk pulak..so tak pyh la stress kan die...
so we went to central London..first stop at Regent's Mosque coz hubby gi Solat Jumaat..then jumpe pulak my FIL's friend yg dtg dr Kuwait...then we went to Bonda Cafe to meet hubby's friend from Dublin...

(and agak tak best gak laa...mcm Pak Pandir ke hulu ke hilir, akhirnya tak dpt pegi mana sgt pun..we collected our Merlin Pass at Madame Tussaud, ingat nk pegi London eye...but by the time sampai Southbank org ramai sgt and takut tak sempat ke Paddington for dinner..al maklum laa..sye ni kan host..kene la awal..sian my kids..takpe la kot..at least they had 2 meals at Msian restaurants kan..)

so ni kt Bonda Cafe..jumpe hubby's friend..
haa ni nk citer sket...
Mamat tu ialah tokeh yg bwk masuk Search and entourage..
(FYI Search dtg London thsi week and ade concert)
but disebabkan harga tix yg tak menarik, so i decided utk buat dunno..padahal dlm hati teringin nk pegi..lgpun busy sgt..
then mase jumpe mamat ni terkantoi la yg die offer my hubby Search Ticket..
tp sbb hubby nk I concentrate on my study, he refused the offer and keep quiet..giler tak bgtau pun...
AARGGGHHH TENSION OK!!!
at least kalau die nk pegi bgtau laaaa..so i can be home early...
mnyampah betul mamat ni..terlepas nk tgk search..
(btw td i pegi bayswater to get something, berselisih dgn YAZID SEARCH..ingat nk stop amik gambar..but malas la pulak..die tgh jalan ngan wife die..kalau AMY mau gak aku stop..)
hisshh tak bagus kan..i'm becoming a typical Msian Londoner pulak skang ni...
kt London ni sbb bersepah sgt org melayu..bukan nk tegur pun kalau jumpe..
mase mula2 sampai dulu me senyum2 gak la..but asyik jd cam kerang je sbb org tak senyum pun..so now dh tak heran dh..lantak laa..
wateva..janji bahagia...

ok then malam tu we had dinner at Delima in Paddington

sambutan menggalakkan jugak laa..almost complete sume postgards paeds dtg except for 1 person..and this guy is our specialist..die pegi honeymoon kt Msia and he loved Msian foods..so die jon we all...

Like I mentioned before, food kt sini mmg marvellous..cukup rase, cukup isi..sgt puas hati..harga pun okay2 je..eventho ni adalah proper restaurant..bukan cafe ok..
i ordered mihun goreng..sedapnye!!!

Adib yg busy with my iphone..main game..and was supported by Allison..

di samping jadi host introduce Msian foods..

we conquered the restaurant...
22 pax altogether
mmg meriah okay..dgn kids lg..siap buat cam umah sendirik je...
and sume org suke Msian foods..sampai ramai yg kate they'll definitely come back..
fuuhhh legaaa...
at least my effort berjaya gak laa..hehe...

really recommended for gathering..
kalau setakat sikit org byk lg tempat boleh pegi..but kalau ramai this restaurant is perfect!!!
(Delima kene bayar ni tlg promo..hehe..)
btw malam tu full house and ramai local people sbb promotion tuh!!!nasib buat reservation awal..


P/s: sape nk gi makan gune voucher 2 for 1 cepat2..offer valid till 8th march je..ade 20 Msian Restaurant participate..
we all dh plan nk makan tempat lain pulak..offer kan..why not??hehhe..
and i think this is the best time to promote pun..

Malaysian Craft @Harrods

Well..well..well..I'm back..after long silence..
as usual..pretty packed with lotsathingy..study?..definitely..shopping?not at this moment! I'm broke!Window shopping?yup..yup..still...food?yup..yup..again..
where should i start scribbling?

well back to the topic..Yup It's Malaysian Craft Exhibition in Harrods! wow...impressive..fantastic..actually it was organized by Yayasan Tuanku Nur Zahirah, our Queen..
she came to London last month for the launching..(plus my friend saw her in Bicester Village..hehe..what a humble queen!)
I was quite excited to go there..ala bukan nk beli anything pon..u should predict the price la kan!
on last wed, tried to call cik puling and planned a visit to Harrods since I had an afternoon off..but on that day she had somethin to do, so we changed our plan and headed to Halal Sushi restaurant instead. this cute lil shop located in South Kensington..emm yummy..dh lama craving for sushi in London..if nk makan sushi kene pegi Yo Sushi..but a bit expensive..
but at this restaurant..the prices are quite reasonable plus we can get student discount!
many thanks ieda for the intro..will come back wif my sushi monster..(hubby la tuh!)

ok that's it..so on Thursday, Hilary and I went to Harrods..bagus gak..at least i can show her the Malaysian craft..she was so impressed by the batik displayed and all the batik cushions plus the silver plates and tableware..but the price??damn expensive...Crepe batik is selling at GBP269-400 plus..and the silverplate is GBP1000++..giler..so I told her that we could purchase those materials at cheaper price in Msia..mmg die suke sgt especially the floral designs..
ni ade can nk buat bisnes batik nih..haha..kidding!
nnt la..bile I balik msia will get a few pieces for my friends..best ade classmate global nih..me pun pesan kain from my friend who's going back to pakistan again in april.. :)

mase sampai kt Harrods, my face was so toya..yela..after attended a boring seminar plus bangun lambat di pagi hari..so tak sempatla nk put on any make up..tapi kt Harrods the toilet mmg sgt best..Luxury toilet!!siap ade perfume and lotion free lagi..Cartier, Chloe, Vera wang and tah ape2 lagi la..tak snap picchas la pulak..bz make up plus enjoying the nice surrounding in that toilet..mengarut je kan?
but bab amik gambar dlm toilet harrods ni perkara biasa..slalu sgt tgk tourist or visitor bergambar kt sini..mmg luxury pon!!!suke sgt..siap duduk2 lama2 lagi..ade toilet yg ade water cooler lagi..

on that day itself, Harrods was quite packed..lots of tourist and people..cam ade sale pulak..yelah..dh spring kan..I guess London will be full of people again!
after pusing2 a bit..we all pun balik la..

Hujan!!

This week hari2 hujan..emm last week snow..wet week again...
every morning when i left home..it's always wet..slippery..dah pakai high boots pun still basah..hehe..
excuse je..
so today..we had day off except journal club early in the morning..
but i had to finish piles of postponed works..
letters to GDP, write up patients' folder..
chatting with friends...etc..etc..etc..
then, once finished..
went to Residence office to collect renewal form..
pastu..emm mula la idea merewang datang..
ok..
since dh dekat ngan Oxford Street..
might as well pegi Selfridges..tak beli2 lagi MAC..

kan sponge dh rabak..the best excuse ever!!
then sampai Selfridges..pegi counter MAC..SA make over sket2..then dapat la ape yg dihajati..
pastu menyinggah la..butik2 kt situ..
Benefit, Dior, Chanel and LV..
pastu perut dh lapar..
had lunch @McD at Bond St station..
since dh sampai central line..
melencongla ke East London..Destination??
