Well the supplier nak datang our department due to the overwhelming respond during the event last christmas..plus ade a few of my friends yang terlepas event tuh..

so since i'm ordering this book for my sister and friends yang terlepas..why not asking anyone else who's interested..

The Hummingbird Bakery

Tonite i'm gonna write bout this bakery..Hummingbird Bakery is one of the famous cake shop in London. Frankly speaking, I haven't been there yet coz there are only3 shops here..1 in Portobello Road,another branch is in South Kensington and their latest shop opens in SOHO..hurrayy..at least SOHO tu dekat la sket and senang nk pegi..I'll visit them soon..

But I had tasted several cupcakes from this bakery..some in a friend's house and one of my classmate brought a big box of the cupcakes during our Eid celebration at school..so basically I've had tasted the most famous cupcake and bestsellers..I really wanted to go there..but time is envying me..like i said before, this term i was very busy and had no time to 'berpeleseran'..even nk lepak coffeeshop with my friends pon tak sempat..but i tell you the cupcakes were super yummy..

So last week, my school had this Christmas book fair..that was the second time..yg first time tak sempat pegi coz busy at the clinic..i thought they only sell books for kids coz 1st time dulu my friends kate ade lotsa kids books..but this time byk buku yg best..kids books, top gear, storybooks and yg plg best cookery books...
me pon duk browse all the books and this book catches my eyes..The Hummingbird Bakery cookbook..dh la cover depan menarik..dulu nampak kt Selfridges but malas nk beli..and duk tercari2 gak kot2 ade Nigella book..ni kan fan no.1 die..but xde..yg ade Delia's Christmas..at last i bought this book (that costs me GBP4..cheapooo..original price:GBP16.99)..
also bought Disney Pixar The Cars colour pencils 50 for my son..murah gak..i'm so looking forward for next year's book fair..mmg murah..

ok after dh beli buku tu duk la terbelek2 tgk ape recipe nk try dulu..i even influenced my other friends to buy it..ade la 4 org beli buku tuh..hehe...
btw kt rumah ade my bro and his wife..i promised my bro nk masak something special and buat cake to celebrate his wife's birthday which would be on sunday..beli buku on thursday..biasalah kt rumah mmg me ni terkenal with baking especially nigella recipe..and also my mom's traditional cake recipe..suke sgt bab2 baking nih...lgpun we all pegi travelling that weekend..
so cepat2 masak nasi ayam and made roasted chicken and then bake red velvet cupcakes...guys i guess u all enjoy the pics je laa ye..

ni la rupe cookbook tu..menarik kan??

kalau kt msia jarang ade bakery yg published the recipe...apetah lagi famous bakery..mcm citer yg jadi kt 'famous amous' tu..minah tu mintak recipe kene charge RM250..last2 it was circulated on the net and i got it too..try buat sebijik jadi..so now me dh tak beli famous amos cookies..buat sendiri je..

haaii bile la secret recipe nk buat cookbook...

ni la rupe Red Velvet cupcakes yg famous tuhh..

(btw classmate sye tu mmg loaded.hehe..toceh la Sonia..habis kitorang melantak hrtuh..)

padahal buat sendiri tah brp pound je..
dapat melambak2 okeh..
siap panggil my neighbour jadi taster..hehhe..
saje je test power..
nasib la malam tu jadi..dgn cream cheese frostings nye lagi..
1st time buat frostings...berkobar-kobar betul!!hehhe...
but my hubby tak suka manis2 ni, so ended up buat half je with the frostings..

My tasters..
suke betul diorang malam tu..
habis more than half jugak laa..

okeh ni my second try after balik travelling..
a few days after the first one...

Peaches and cream with vanilla frostings..
but the peaches were substituted with apricots..
ala lebey kurang je la kann..

nasib jadi jugak...
but this time i used the small baking cases..so tak berapa best...
in the book it is recommended to use American size cupcake case..
sbb UK standard size smaller..
so 1 bancuhan estimated dlm 12 cakes je..
but this recipe i made half mixture je..
sbb tak de taster except my hubby..
and die habiskan sume sorang2 die je..hahha...

And malam ni td...i tried the other recipe...
Coconut cupcakes..

punye laa berkobar-kobar kan??hehhe...
lgpun barang sume ade..and we all br lepas shopping groceries...

adoi jarang sekali my cake tak jadi..rase2nye sepanjang baking ni start from teenager tak sampai 5 kali pun my cake tak jadi..
heran gaks..

so i came to a conclusion that:
1. mase heat up my oven i tak perasan ade air dlm baking tray..my hubby letak and die lupe nk keringkan..so mase nk letak the muffin tray abis asap panas kene my face..sakit gak..
2. maybe oven terlalu panas..
3.kot ade ingredient yg tak betul..but bile double check sume betul..
4. mungkin petanda suruh cool down and masak benda lain pulak...hehe..

yela dlm seminggu ni dh 3 kali buat cupcakes..
kemaruk betul dgn hummingbird ni...
so next week terpaksa lah ke hummingbird bakery utk beli pulak..
rehat seketika...
